Home Touch: Outdoor Furniture

Lin Pod Bench by Leif.designpark
Very retro and very cool with a plant hole

Having decided to create a huge balcony by eating into some of the existing flat space, I'm looking around for interesting outdoor (has to be durable and endure the harsh sun and rain conditions) pieces. Still thinking what to go for as the space isn't exactly big and there's a wall (that I can't knock down) somewhere in between. And the options out there are numerous - benches, chairs, chaise loungers, swings? Show me some love people and vote on one for me!

Love the stone wall and the easy bench / lounger

Love the white cane chairs!
It would go with the postmodernist look we're gunning as the overall theme for the house (although it might change to be a mix of a few themes I think!)

Mariposa Chair by Kate Rider
Very sleek... very modern...
Swedese Desiree Outdoor Chair
The white fan shape called out to me in an instant.

I think I've seen this piece in the stores.

Kendo Lounge Chair by Murillo
Or this sunny piece? By Filipino designers. A modern take on a traditional asian cane type.

Cocoon by Patricia Urquiola
Or this? I love how gorgeous and colorful it looks! I can imagine Claire in there all day. :)

3 lovings:

  1. oooo i like the cocoon!!!!!!

heehee.... i need to look for outdoor furniture too...

  2. I am so into chairs too, esp those outdoor chairs that look so cool indoors. Except they all come with a hefy price tag!

I personally love the yellow one by Murillo. But my vote will be for the white cane chairs. and I will change the cushions depending on my mood or when I want a new look

  3. The cane chairs. They are the most durable, comfy with cushions and very resorty feel to it. One tip about cane chairs (which my parents used to have for outdoors), is that if there is lizard poo, you can easily wipe it away with a wet cloth! :P
