Refreshing Times at Church Camp

Elim at Church Camp in Malacca
4 - 7 June 2010

We recently trooped up to Malacca for our 4th church camp with our small group Elim (sadly not everyone was able to make it). And while I was only able to sit in for half the sessions (K and I took turns to bring Claire to Children's Ministry), I had a refreshing time listening in on the theme sermons by Rev Lawrence Seow. His sermon delivery and speaking style (constantly peppered with humour) made it a whole lot more enjoyable than what I remember of other church camp speakers. Earlier church camps felt memorable though, perhaps because of close friends (who made it then and not this time round) and also because it was Malacca yet again. Time to explore another venue I think!

I think she was really able to enjoy and appreciate camp this time round. I'm just looking to the day I can leave her alone at Children's Ministry.
