In its half done state
This was just about what I had to go through for about seven days, since last wednesday. If my camera could capture the amount of dust and dirt that was hanging around in the air of my entire house, I would have snapped that shot for you as well! From finding the exact same tiles (my new buyer wanted it to look exactly the same) to the hacking to the waterproofing to the tiling to fitting back the accessories to REDO-ing them all (all because the workers made a mistake!!), toilet renovations were positively hell.
Why? Because my toilet was leaking to my neighbour's toilet (she wasn't staying in her flat though - she rents it out - lucky her). And HDB got involved, and undertook renos. All that's fine... even paying 1K is fine. But the mess! Oh the mess! Oh and because we only had one toilet, we had to move out to stay at my mom's. We had to unfortunately be home everyday, even the whole weekend to 'watch over' the man.
When that all ended, the entire family fell ill. K, Claire and I. Must be the dust and dirt. Sigh.
The tiles are so cute...but I couldn't imagine the chaos for the week. I went through the same thing recently with my kitchen floor being tiled...it is worth it in the end though. =)
