Happy 100th Birthday Grandma!

K's Sweet Grandma Turns 100!

The weekend was a blast celebrating K's grandma's 100th birthday. K has one of the biggest families ever - at least 'biggest' I've seen. His grandma has 10 sons and a daughter and tons of children and grandchildren. That's on his dad's side. His mom's side is equally big. Scary. Ha! Especially during Chinese New Year when I have to give out red packets (of money). :S

But it was really lovely to see uncles and aunties and cousins back from all over, the UK, Canada and Australia. I think it's been more so nice since all of them are such lovely people. Friday night we had dinner with most of the family at a Loyang chalet (correction, huge bungalow) and I hung out with them for some drinks at Zouk, Velvet. Till 4 in the morning! Hubs was home with the little one (he had to tee off at 7am :P).

Back to his grandma - I think she's really blessed to have lived till so long and to have such a big and loving family. I was amused at the enthusiasm the uncles and aunties had though, preparing and putting up items for her birthday dinner at Singapore Island Country Club. I had to sing a song as well, which was somewhat embarrassing, but I thought... for the sweet old lady... :)

Uncles dressed to the nines (with a huge red bow tie and glittery gold top hats) serving the first dish, male cousins stripping down to a warrior outfit (actually it's more a mix of some hawaiian dress skirt and colorful clown-like flowers) carrying grandma down the aisle for her grand entrance... and more. What a show!

Photos with the family girls - 80% of the family are boys btw.

And my favourite family shot so far!

To Ah Ma: May God continue to pour bountiful blessings into your life and may everyday you have, have His Presence and Love! Happy Birthday!
