Oh I forgot! The girl goes 'pish', 'hi pish!'
Highlight of her week (well, I'm hoping it's her highlight): 5 fishes and a new fish tank. Hmm. Maybe I should read her the story of 5 fishes and 2 loaves tonight. We've been to a couple of friends' homes where the kids (mostly older than Claire) have hamsters and rabbits, and fishes too, and she's usually intrigued with the animals. So we thought we buy her her first pet.
To my animal-loving friends, yes... I guess a fish isn't exactly a pet. But I'm not exactly good or careful with pets to take care of them ever so constantly - rabbits have died under my care. Can't remember about hamsters and guinea pigs but my dog did get stolen - no fault of mine. Fingers crossed these fish survive for a good period of time.
Back to the new members of the family... K picked those fish - I don't even know what breed that's called but I know I've seen them around and apparently they are super hardy types. Please tell me if you do know. I picked the rest. So yes, it looks pleasant. K asked Claire 'Shall we name the fish?' She said 'pish one, pish two?' Hmm.
Simple and chic. Cost us 28 bucks - fish, fish food included.
Not exactly as visually stimulating as the tv, but I think it's quite relaxing to watch the fish swim around in the tank. And hopefully it teaches Claire a thing or two about caring for animals, something... :)
